A 59-year-old Mountain View man who was described by police as “armed and dangerous” in a wanted bulletin last month is in police custody.

Mark Scott Silva was nabbed Monday night at Hirano Store in Glenwood, according to the police arrest log. He was charged with failure to appear and bail was set at $150.

Silva was also arrested on suspicion of terroristic threatening, violating a protective order and illegally carrying a pistol, potential charges under investigation by detectives.

Silva allegedly went to the home of his estranged wife on Oct. 19 and threatened a 20-year-old woman, described by police as a family member, with a handgun.

He then reportedly fled on foot into a heavily forested area.
